Q: How is the print quality?
A: Our Roland Hi-Fi Jet Pro Printer uses variable droplet technology, Unlike typical printers the sizes of each individual droplet can be varied resulting in stunning imagery.
Q: How do you offer such low prices?
A: We buy inks and canvas direct from manufacturers, not local middlemen who mark up the price. We pass on those savings to you.
Q: How long is your turnaround time?
A: Typically within 1 week of receiving an approved image. However prints can be completed within 2 days.
Q: How much bigger should I make an image for Image wrapping?
A: On a 3/4inch wood base add 1 inch to each side. Example: a 18x22 image would wrap around a 16x20 3/4inch frame.
On a 1.5inch wood base add 2 inches to each side. ie a 28x40 inch image would wrap around a 24x36 1.5 inch frame.
Q: What is the difference between Matte and Glossy?
A: Glossy tends to have a slightly darker, yet more vibrant image but also tends to attract more glare. Matte has a flat less vibrant, but consistent finish.
Q: Whats the difference between your poly/cotton blend and 100% cotton.
A: The visual result is very similar. The cotton is slightly thicker.
Q: How many 'megapixels' does my image have to be?
A: While we prefer more megapixels, we have had good results from small files. Please send in an image for a free evaluation.
Q: I do not have a digital file of my artwork, what do I do?
A: We can photograph your art, or recommend you to a drum scanner for a high resolution scan.
Q: Can you alter or restore images?
A: Yes we can. We can correct red eye or remove minor scratches free on request. Large alterations or restorations are available for an additional fee.
Q: Will my print look different from the image i see on my screen?
A: Yes, your computer monitor is backlit and emmits light through the image. Additionally canvas is textured so the image will have the feel of a painting.
Q: How long do prints last?
A: On going tests at Wilhelm Research indicate over 100 years indoor print permanence with pigment inks. However under normal conditions this likely varies.
Q: Who can frame my printed material?
A: We can help you frame most sizes, however some large projects may require a professional framer.
Q: What kind of inks do you use?
A: We use an archival pigment based ink. Typical dyes tend to change color over time and fade, pigment based ink in combination with high quality canvas will hold true colors.
